heres a page i scanned in from the art of discworld by paul kidby and terry pratchett. just a small example of the beautiful illustrations within. i also love the fact there is an discreet note of humour in almost all of the illustrations.

this sketch is just lookin at other ways of drawing figures. i really like the guys face it reminds me of my dad
:D
i actually really like this line art i did, i think ill photo shop it at a later date or import and colour it on flash. I got the idea off my friend matt, we were saying what if we didnt actually use horses as transport what else could we use....ah! sofas on snails lol. im sure their shells would be great for carryin baggage!!!
again more experimenting with a brush pen, just scribbles really. i like it because i tried to draw myself without looking in a mirror...i think i did quite well lol
ok youll have to enlarge this one its abit light ^^ i love this i drew this in a lecture lol i had just bought fable 2 the day before and wanted to do my own character in a similar style.
just afew figure drawings done with brush pen, i love the  look of brush pens. looking at long torso and short legs. this is a dominant style used throughout okami.

spare time sketchs

pretty much hat it says on the tin really. things ive done in my spare time, ideas i put down so i didnt have to fully invest time and could come back to them later :D
my girlfriend bought me this as a birthday present, and its without a doubt one of the prettiest books i have seen on the shelfs. this is a complete runthrough of the award winning game okami, from preliminary sketchs through to final production prints. its amazing.
this is another great book, although i really like this one because paul kidby's drawing style is so different. it looks like a very 'british' way of illustrating characters. theyre almost characateurs.
this is an amazing book...my initial reaction to opening its pages was staring jaw open in awe of the incredible amount of work and spent on the contents. even if you arent a fan of manga you should be able to appreciate the amazing workmanship of katsuhiro otomo. one of the best background artists ive ever seen.....period

.....books:D

hmmmm......?

ok, so keeping the blog updated didn't go quite as well as i had planned lol. it kind of slipped to the back of my mind until i realised i gotta show my tutors what i do in my spare time. I am a lol cow milk me plz. anyway.....ill just post up some of my doodles and explain what they represent to me^^peace out
